We’d like to formally invite all of you to attend Private Practice Club’s first speaker event of the year! This first event is FREE and open to ALL students because we want to give you a taste of what Private Practice Club has to offer before you officially sign up. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about private practice from a successful OD. Bring an appetite and lots of questions! What: Dr. Kristin O’Brien, OD – “Beginning Your Own Practice: Where to Start?” When: Thursday, August 25th, 7:00pm Where: A101-102 Dress: Business/Clinic Attire Dinner: Taco bar, 8:00pm on the lawn While in school, Dr. O’Brien founded her university’s very own Private Practice Club, and was influential in beginning the Student Optometric Leadership Network (SOLutioN), of which she currently serves on the Executive Committee. She also spends time on the lecture circuit, speaking about private practice and the business aspects of the profession with Optometric Insights to inspire success in future generations of optometrists. Who are we?We are a student-run organization that provides resources and learning opportunities about the art of optometric private practice to students at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. We seek to prepare students throughout their educational career for making a smooth transition into private practice.
